I aim to provide a safe, respectful and effective service. If something has not felt right, you are encouraged to say so. Raising a concern will not affect your right to be treated respectfully.
1. Informal resolution
If you feel able, raise the concern directly with me by email, telephone or during a session. I will listen, clarify what has happened and try to resolve the concern promptly.
2. Formal complaint
You may make a formal complaint by emailing calmbreathingtherapies1@gmail.com with what happened, when it occurred and what outcome you are seeking. I will:
- Acknowledge the complaint within five working days.
- Review relevant information fairly and maintain an appropriate record.
- Provide a written response within 28 days where possible.
- Explain any necessary delay and give a revised timeframe.
3. Escalation
If you remain dissatisfied, you may contact the British Association for Behavioural & Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP). Visit BABCP’s raising-a-concern information, call 0330 320 0851 or email babcp@babcp.com.
4. Confidentiality and records
Complaint information is handled sensitively and shared only where needed to investigate, respond, obtain professional advice or comply with a legal duty. Complaint records are normally retained for six years.
