What I can help with

What would you like to feel different?

I work with a range of difficulties, with particular experience in anxiety, panic, social anxiety and phobias. You might also be feeling low, overwhelmed or caught in patterns that are hard to change. You don’t need a diagnosis or the perfect words to get in touch.

Panic disorder

A racing heart or sudden surge of fear can leave you worried about the next attack. We’ll explore that cycle and agree ways to rebuild confidence in the situations you have been avoiding.

Specific phobias

Whether it is needles, blood, spiders, flying or another specific fear, avoidance can start to shape your choices. We’ll agree gradual steps towards the things you want to be able to do.

Anxiety and persistent worry

If your mind keeps asking “what if?”, it can be hard to switch off. We’ll look at the worry cycle and practise responding to uncertainty in ways that leave more room for daily life.

Social anxiety

You may hold back in conversations or replay them afterwards, looking for mistakes. We’ll explore fears of judgement and test ways to feel more involved in social situations.

Health anxiety

Checking symptoms or asking for reassurance may settle the worry for a moment, only for it to return. We’ll work on this cycle while respecting appropriate medical advice.

Obsessive-compulsive difficulties

Unwanted thoughts and the urge to check, repeat or put things right can take up a lot of time. We’ll understand the pattern and plan manageable steps to reduce compulsions.

Trauma and PTSD

Memories, reminders or feeling constantly on edge can make it difficult to feel in the present. We’ll assess what you need and agree a suitable plan together.

Depression and low mood

When energy and motivation are low, it can be harder to do the things that usually support you. We’ll start with small, realistic steps towards routine, connection and what matters to you.

CBT without the jargon

Understand what is happening. Find a useful next step.

CBT gives us a way to connect what you think, feel and do. Together, we choose a focus and turn what you learn in sessions into changes you can practise in everyday life.

Common questions

Before you get in touch

How do I know whether CBT is right for me?

The free consultation gives us space to briefly discuss what you want help with and whether my experience and CBT approach are a suitable fit. If another type or level of support seems more appropriate, I will be honest about that.

What happens in an online session?

We agree a focus, review what you noticed or practised since the last session, and work together on an evidence-based CBT strategy. Sessions are structured, but there is always room for what matters that week.

Is therapy confidential?

Yes. I handle your information carefully and discuss confidentiality with you before therapy begins. The main exceptions are legal requirements or serious concerns about immediate safety, which are explained in the privacy and safeguarding policies.
